O.J.'s Daughter Arrested on DUI

There's a Simpson in trouble with the law--but for a change it's not O.J.

The ex-football star's oldest daughter, Arnelle, has been arrested on drunken driving charges by Beverly Hills police after she plowed her Saab convertible into an apartment building early Friday morning.

Simpson, 29, suffered minor injuries in the crash, was placed in a stablilizing neck brace and taken to the nearby, celeb-friendly hospital, Cedars-Sinai. She's listed in stable condition.

Unfortunately, the car and the apartment building weren't quite so lucky. The Saab's front end accordioned, and the wall of the apartment building caved in (startling a resident who was preparing to go to sleep). The rest of the damage report includes one crushed traffic sign, one broken concrete bus bench and one smashed cinderblock wall. No other humans were hurt.

Police responded to the scene just before 2 a.m. and found Simpson alone in the car. They smelled alcohol on her breath and placed her under arrest. No reason has been given for why Simpson ran her car up on the curb.

A family spokesperson said Arnelle Simpson was "disappointed that the incident occurred, very happy that no one else was involved and sorry that it happened."

Simpson--O.J.'s daughter from his first marriage (to Marguerite)--is scheduled to be in Beverly Hills court May 21 to face a possible charge of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
